we pull 11 for a 250 our base is higher than most. 18-19 is a good start.

What does it run? N/A and on spray?

Cold plug and race gas will help you with a bigger tuning window.

ya whats the timing on the motor. Id start by pulling 11-12 and going from there. Since your running straight race gas and depending on your plug, you'll probably be adding back a bit more.

we just put the car back together this year so we are hoping to make some passes at capital this fri, the dyno we put the car on i think was a little happy but it made 480 to the wheels on the motor and 765 on the bottle.... that just seems a little high to me

I'd pull 2* more from your dyno tune ...a 2 or 3 second dyno pull builds alot less heat than a 9-10 second pass down the track.

Pump gas?

Good deal.
Make a 1/8th mile hit or 2 and check the plugs out.
Since you cant adjust the cyl. timing like we can get yourself a set of tr9's and if you have a hot cyl. stick one in there it will help.

Good luck!
Post up you have any other questions.

thanks man i appreciate it, it went some 10.00s last year on a 150 hit so im hoping on a 250 it could see some 9.50s or 60's, and last year it had a stock maf, tb, and an ls6 intake, this year we swapped in a 92mm tb and a vic jr

Timing on motor doesn't have a thing to do with the timing on the spray. If his engine likes 40* of timng, and he pulls 12, he would be spraying 250 on 28* of timing. That won't work.

One of my personal vehicles, runs at 35* total on motor, and on a 175, I back it down to 18* total. On both systems, it is at 5* total. That is what the engine likes.

19 seems like an awful lot to me. I guess check your plugs and got from there. I would think around 15 would be in the ball park area.

good luck.

What cam do you have in it. It would be hard for ti to work well with a ls6 and vic jr. you need 8( or more) degrees more exhaust on that jr with nitrous than the 6. Hit me with a PM if you want.

Only run as much timing as needed, checking plugs and putting the best gas in def helps that window. Unfortunately it maybe too late if you chance it. I'd start progressively and go up 1 deg at a time until the plugs tell you to stop or show what is optinum.
