And what about those still on the street? I guess they'll just be replaced if/when they break...no recall.

Is this FOR ALL OF THE TR6060's like the one in my C6 Z06 or just in the camaro? What was the problem anyways?

Good News !!
What? They dont even say whats wrong and you are just happy? Am I missing something..? No wonder GM just has lost any respect to car enthusiasts....:eyes:
This not a window motor problem or glitch...its the FUCKING tranny! I mean didnt a lot here loved to make fun of the tranny issues with the Nissan?

Well, the nissan thing is quite different... you are FORCED to sign a disclosure that states that you, the GTR owner, couldn't even DYNO the car without voiding your warranty. Furthermore, the launch control feature that was breaking the glass transmissions was reworded as "stuck in snow/mud recovery mode" They now have reflashed the tune and no load the transmission like a transbrake instead of dumping it like a 6-speed car.
Now, my c6 z06 with it's tr6060 has an issue that up until now I haven't seem any alternative but to take into the dealer and get it fixed. The tr6060 is still a fairly new trans. and with new parts comes newer problems. Not a big deal, all you have to do is be patient and fix it... atleast GM is taking care of its customers and not throwing them to the wolves with a signed aggremeent that the owner will never take the TC off the car unless they are stuck in a in some mud where the owner should of express more judgement and not take their $80k+ nissan into the trails in the first place!! :)

Maybe because Nissan denied the warranties of those cars with broken trannys? What difference does it make why the part is defective, you aren't going to be able to check it either way.

Maybe not but just out of respect to the people buying this, an explanation will be a nice way to touch and reach clients. Thats just basic PR in my book, more now than ever when GM credibility is at its lowest.

yes this may betrue and yeah they should issue more information but it sounds like this whole thread was started over a "i heard" information line. im sure we will see more information in he future on what the problem was and what the fix for it included.
