New Yank TC gets me in the NMCA/NMRA show at 66!
My new Yank TC with my New Level VII 4L60E from FLT, along with my NEW Pfadt tranny mounts and some sage advice from Dan Bills got me in the NMCA/NMRA Superbowl at Rt 66 over the weekend. (Dan Bills had me drop tire pressure and shorten my burnouts which made my 60's more consistent)
The "Barbie Vette" was running just great with my "slow down" program trying to run as close to 9.50 as possible!!
My T1 run was 9.31 @ 151 (thats slow for this new setup!) and my qualifying run was 9.62 to put me as #6 qualifier in LM-EFI. Running in the A (quickest) index every car I would run would be slower and VERY consistent.
I ended up loosing running a 9.51 on a 9.50 index to a car that ran 13.03 on a 13.00 index. Competition was fierce!!!
Thanks to Vinny from FLT for noticing my slick was flat (picked up a rivet of all things in the pits) and a big thanks to JOE HAWKINS & JIMMY PYDO for helping me to get it fixed 20 min. before round 1!!!
