Default Ls2 lifter trays?

I have a ls1 and I'm switching the lifters out for the ls7s. Someone told me to do so I need the ls2 lifters trays is this true?

I'm running the LS7's and didn't switch trays.

It's a good idea to put in new trays when the heads are off. Those plastic trays are the only thing that keep the rollers square on the camshaft lobe. You can use LS1 or LS2 trays in your LS1, they say the LS2's are a little stiffer/stronger.

For the record I have LS7 lifters and LS1 trays.

Spend the $32. It is much cheaper than having to deal with a turned lifter from your old ls1 tray getting weak. Yes it is stiffer I have seen both... You need to buy 4. I agree with MASS1guy totally...

not needed, but if you are in there why not- it is only 30 some bucks. I look at it as added protection. I would defintatly switch them out if you have high miles.

I wasn't going to change my trays with the new setup. But I figured why the hell not? $32 for new stronger trays. Might as well change them while you have the heads off.
