Default AC wont come on at idle

Well im from over at ls1trucks but no one there could seem to help me, so ill give it a shot here. My problem is when ever I come to an idle my ac shuts off. i checked the pressure and everything checks fine there and all the connections are good. The only way i can make the AC run at idle is if i go into real time tuning and lock the ac compressor in manualy. Any thoughts guys. O and my idle is set at around 700.

When you say it won't come on, do you mean that the compressor clutch will not engage or something else?

Take the clutch straight to the battery, and see how it behaves then. If it still won't engage, make sure the battery is good. If it is, replace the clutch.

Also, check your alternator output.

HMMM! Well, you wouldn't think it would make a difference, but I'd check all the same just to eliminate possibilities at this point.

OK, now that you've had to disconnect and reconnect the compressor, what's it do when you try to operate normally - same thing?

OK...I see in your OP that you've been inside the computer. Do you have a tune in it? If so, what happens when you go back to stock?

Also, need some vehicle specifics.

Well, then I'd suspect a wiring issue in the dash. Something making intermittent contact, like maybe the blower switch. Possibly a wire touching something, and vibrations at speed making it not touch...something like that.
