You can get a great deal from VFN, there a sponser on here. I just picked up a WS9 hood from them and its being painted as we speek. You could search the classifieds on here for a used hood. Good luck!

I believe the advertised price is 695.00 and they just did a group purchase and it was 600.00. Hope this helps.

I forgot to mention that you will need to buy new hood struts from them since the hood is WAY lighter then the stock one. There like 40 or 50 bucks.

A group purchase is when they sell them at a discounted rate for multiple purchasers. There where some slight fittment issues that my body shop told me about but I think we got them worked out. The thing to remember is these are aftermarket hoods. They are not gonna be 100% perfect no matter how many people say they are. But hey not even my stock hood lined up from the factory. This one so far is lined up better then my factory hood but I saw it with out the front bumper and no paint so we will see how it looks when its done.

Go with the WS6 bolt on hood from VFN. It's a great product at a good price. I also purchased the hood struts to go with it.
I also have mine in the body shop and I should have it back tomarrow.

the ws9 hood has a 3 inch rise, ws6 has 2 inches. ws9 also has functional heat extractors on each side of the cowl, you can see them in the pic if you look closely. and thank you

heres a better pic of the hood:

If the ws9 has a 3" rise and the ws6 hood has a 2" rise, how much rise does an OEM WS6 hood have?
what are the appearance differences between an OEM hood and trufiber, vfn etc ws6 or 9 hoods?

VFN oem is still 2". Im not sure what the difference is between the companys hoods other then quality and fitment. I personally selected VFN for the simple fact that they are not too far from my house and I've seen there hoods in person, plus they are a reputible sponser hear and have great customer service.

Or trade someone that has worn out hood struts.......that's what I did for my Camaro when I put the Harwood 'glass hood on it. The worn out struts worked perfectly, and the guy I traded was happy to have new ones to hold his factory hood up on his IROC.

I love my Ws.9, got it used, fitted, but un painted for 425$, Costed a lot more for prep, refit, and paint but worth every penny.

A good used, OEM WS.6 should be selling for over 600, unless some selling doesn't know the price...
