Default 414 L92 build

We are finally makng some progress with this project. My car has been down almost a year. The 383 lost a lifter, due to some H20 in the oil issues .The head had small pinhole located beehind the intake. When we tore it down the main brgs were cooked, crank was bent, the starter bolt ear on the block was being held on with JB weld and loctite.
Now the good stuff. The short block is almost finished. It will be a L92 block with a stock bore. The rotating assy. will have a scat crank with a4.00 inch stroke, H beam Callies, Mahle pistons with ceramic coating on the face. The heads are L92's also they will have rev valves and are fully ported by THE HEAD SHOP here in Houston. They got some great #s
The intake flows 158 @ .200
221 @ .300
280 @ .400
312 @ .500
337 @ .600
346 @ .700
The exhaust flow 114 @ .200
160 @ .300
199 @ .400
226 @ .500
243 @ .600
250 @ .700 Oh yea

This was with a 4.155 adapter and the stock valves and valve job. There may be more left, we will see. Its a crime that I,ll be running the stock L76 intake. Oh well it will make great mid range torque and should peak at 6300-6500 rpm on the HP
The valve train that I have will be PAC 1521 springs, Isky hyd lifters ( Morel) rebuilt stock rockers, and we will be ordering some 11/16 " or 3/8" pushrods. Ed Curtis at FTI is specing out the cam.
If you are in the Houston area give The Head Shop a call. Sean and Jerry are great to work with. Come get u sum!!!

I've been toying with the idea of the Vic Jr. I would have to redo the hood. I really want Cary's intake, it is a work of art. I have the MSD controller so I could even run a carb. For now the L76 it will be. I think it will be stealh like. Man it s just a bolt on car!!!

The long block is finally finshed. It looks almost like a stock LS1. Now to get it in the car and fire her up. Who wants to help me tune this beast? Thinking of going SD witha NA and a N2O tune.

Looks great John!! I can't wait to see the car back on the track again. It should be a strong runner.
