Default Will these pistons work?

I bought this 383 a couple months ago. The motor came with Forged SRP Pistons that are -5cc and they are made of the 4032 alloy. They guy I bought them from said they would handle a 300 shot easily. Well, I know that's not true.

But, if I am going to be spraying a 175 shot on it, and possibly a 200 shot, would they be ok for my setup?

I just like that I wouldn't have to buy pistons and they are already on the rods. I would just need rings.

The car is not a race car, it is mainly street driven. I doubt I would go through more than a few bottles a year. I maybe go to the track 4-5 times a year so its not like it is going to see a lot of nitrous.

What do you guys think?

Not really the answer I'm looking for, but thanks.

I guess what I should be asking is who has ran these pistons and what do you guys think of them.

i would be more worried about the piston ring gap than just the piston its self

Without knowing more info like top ring location, taper, weight etc its hard to know if there any good. I have never used them. call a engine builder from over there like EriK from HKE he should be able to use partnumbers to look up the details and let you know.

I am not exactly sure what pistons you are talking about, but if any piston can handle a 300hp shot of nitrous.it would be a good forged piston.4032 alloy are good for street strip applications, but 2618 forged pistons are recommended for race only engines with a power adder.Keep in mind forged pistons typically require more cylinder wall clearance due to higher rates of thermal expansion.Stock pistons are hypereutectic. What is the CR(compression ratio) of your engine?

Depending on what head gasket I go with, somewhere in the 11.1-11.3 area.
