It took me two very long days but its finally done. I have to thank this forum for providing me with most of all the info i needed to do it right the first time and the Mountain Dew for keeping me up all those long hours lol. Anyways the cam is a Thunder Racing 224 with a 114lsa. All the supporting mods are from Comp Cam's and the spring compressor is a Comp one also. Im using a Melling Oil Pump as well. The exhaust is Mac Mid's with a SLP LM with a Magnaflow muffler in place of the SLP muffler. Also running a ASP underdrive. Still have the stock LS1 intake. Here's a couple pics. Didnt really take as many as I wanted. Ill post up another sound clip later in the afternoon.

Ok this may seem like a dumb newb question, but I've never changed valves on a head that was already installed....
How hard was that? What was involved.
Other then that the cam install doesn't seem so hard on this car.

u dont change the valves...u change the valve springs.

Well I didnt change the valve's. Just the springs. And if you wana change the valve's you have to take off the heads. And thats a pain the ***.

nice pics. Im really thinking about doing a cam swap myself. This will be my first ever. How hard was it changing the oil pump?

Not bad. Just make sure to loosen the oil pan to get as much clearence as possible. And if you have fat fingers i wouldnt attempt it lol.

sorry buddy, cant really say. I did several mods close together and I have almost always fought traction at the track so times stay fairly inconsistant.
