Default 4l80 question

Why does the rear cooler line have the tube on it? Do I have to use a fitting with the tube on it?

The tube is part of the lube circuit and yes it must be there or you will cook the planets real quick

heres one if you have the room, otherwise weld a 90 deg steel one on it, mark where you want it to end up while its tight-being that its a straight thread, no other way to have it end up aiming the way you want

I have mine welded now but they should really think about making those with a 90.
