Default Victor Jr. on a street car?

I'm in the process of planning a build right now as you can see in my sig i'm in the process of acquiring all the bolt ons. In the future i would like to do an intake heads and a big cam.

I have a couple of questions about intakes.

Will a vic jr. work on the street or do you lose the all low end power?
What kind of tune is needed for a 4 barrel throttle body?
should i just stick with an LS6 or a fast?

well whatever you do, do not use vic jr w/elbow, with that said all the others are good choices but if you do 4 barrel tb then your going to have to cut some of the cowl and there is not a good looking way to put an air cleaner on it
and well the fast is just to damn expensive

also if you don't mind cutting the cowl and removing your wipers check out the pro flo xt

does the elbow kill power? it seems like alot of the race guys use it.

and would it be possible to fab a tube like the intercooler piping on a turbo to run from a 4 barrel to a lid maybe w/ MAF?

I say the fast. I had a victor jr. on my procharged car and did'nt like it at all. I went back to a fast, and the car felt alot better down low. also the fast fits better. i did'nt like the way the victor jr. with the elbow fit at all, as some of the rest will tell you, you have to modify you cowl to make it work. imo. it would be ok for a track car, but not my car, as I am far to curious to ride around with it.

how can a procharged car feel shitty down low with all that torque? lol

unless its a 13:1 comp with a 260 cam i think you will be fine with a fast intake, they are expensive but seem to have the best results.

If your talking to me, you need to reread my post. I like the fast over the victor jr. I never said it felt crappy, I just stated the fast picked up the bottom end more and imo. it is the better street intake.

I know of two buddies with a Victor JR. and 4barrel set-up. The one I rode/drove was a 408 stroker with the victor jr and man that thing was litterally a beast all around. Never got it to run right because of trans/converter problems but with it having 1st gear and part of second it pulled a 1.50x 60ft and ran a 7.2x at 72.xxmph in the 1/8th. I'll be going with the victor jr/4 barrel set-up with my 370 .

when you run an elbow set up with the victor jr it kills the bottom end. The 4 bl set up is the only way to go if you are going to run that intake, IMO. But for a street car you cant beat a ported fast, period.

who says you can't run a 4 barrel throttle body on a street car?

you run a carb style hat that they use for carb. turbo/supercharged cars, and use that as an elbow and run that either to a filter or your lid.

come race time, take the wing nut off the hat, and just lift everything off, and instant race car!

It's the samething, it's one of the buddies I was talking about with the set-up

My picture has the Accufab 4 barrel and the one you posted has the edelbrock 4barrel, pretty much just a height difference between the two.
