Default cam size?

i bought a 1998 camaro about a year ago. i keep breaking valve springs.i've been told that someone has put a cam in it and did not change the springs. is there any way to tell with out taking the cam out what size it is so i can get new springs . it is my dd and need to get it running. any help??

so just pick up a set of upgraded springs and be done with it. i dont know of any way to find out cam size without having to tear stuff apart.

some comp cams 918 are probably plenty of spring as they are advertised to handle up to .625 lift
