help with gm stock piston rings

Default help with gm stock piston rings

i am freshing my engine and installing new gm ls1 std rings after a hone. i know which one are the bottom oil control rings. my question is about the top and secong ring. one ring has a dot which i think is the second ring and the one i think is the top ring has no markings on it. is this correct? thanks

the one w/the dot is the second ring, the top "compression" ring is also the smaller of the two.

Did you a engine rebuild kit or just piece it together?
