Question Going from M6 to 4L80... using a 4L60 stock shifter and cable... have Qs.

So I cut the whole sheet metal pan out of a A4 car then laid it over my M6 tunnel. It worked out perfect but now I have a Q about the linkage. Im using a stock 4L60 shifter and cable... I havent jacked the car up yet to see how it all lines up and will be doing that this week so figured Id ask now..... does anyone have any tips or hints on how to mount the cable to the 4L80? Will the stock 4L60 cable bracket line right up or do I need to modify it? I tried searching here but didnt come up with too much.

Oh yeah and see the pic below of the cable that is still attached to the shifter... I believe its the cable that is responsible for not allowing the car to go from park to gear without the brake applied. I do have stock A4 pedals installed in the car... should this thing mount right up?

Thanks!

i use the stock 4l60 shifter linkage/cable/cable bracket mount. I use one hole of the stock cable mount and use one hole of the tranny pan to hold it. It has been fine like that for 3 years so far on my 4l80/fbody
