What should i go with? 347 or 370 FORGED?
Well i am wanting to build a forged motor for my tubo so i can put some real boost to it safely. wanting to make 600-800hp SAFELY!!!
Should i go with a forged 370 or stay with the 346 and forge it (347) ????
Basically Cost is the biggest issue!!!! Im broke as hell..... and snow will be flying soon and i will be cut down to 40hrs per week......
Its seems to me like you can do either for about the same price.... TSP seems to have the best deal i have found....
Im leaning towards: TSP 370, and running some 317 heads and dual springs, ls6 cam, hardened PRs, ect....
So I think i can get a good forged motor to handle 800+hp for around $4500????? OR am i dreaming LMAO!
Does anyone have a cheaper way to support 800hp?
Thanks,
Blaine

ya i though about just putting forged rods and pistons in and new bearings...... but after the machine work and stuff it just seems easier to spend a few more dollars to buy an assembled 370 from tsp.
right????? i mean its a little more expensive but it saves you all that hassle and work.

go with a forged 370. sell your old shortblock for a little extra cash and put it toward upgrades for the 370 shortblock(really nice rods, pistons, etc.) Then you will more than likely have a setup to support your power goals. I am not so sure that the 370 from tsp will support 600-800hp and be reliable without paying for upgrades. Also are you talking rwhp numbers or fwhp?

I am basically looking for the cheapest route to handle 800rwhp.... though ill probably only run 600 i want it to be SAFE..... only wanna do this once (atleast last a few years)
I know cheap wont make reliable..... I mean the cheapest way to get reliable....
