Question Question regarding transmission issues

So I think im loosing 4th/OD. When im crusing around 40-50 for any lenth of time and press the gas the RPM's go up, but the car goes nowhere. Almost like it is in neutral. I've tried easing into the gas, even flooring it, i've had the RPM's go up to 5000 and nothing. I've had this happen crusing at 70 as well, but not as much as at lower speeds.
If I drop it into 3rd/D then it will usually catch and move on, but can take a few seconds at times.

I have tried making sure the fuild is full as well as replacing the fluid and filter. Still no luck. So does this look like a rebuild or replace to yall?

Another question I have is, i've had the car tuned and I know they changed some of the shift points and removed the torque managment, but not sure if they messed with the line pressure. Will this cause any harm if I replace the tranny?

Thanks in advance.

does 2nd still hold well you may justhave a servo seal leaking. The band runs 2nd and 4th if 4th is the only one slipping i would say you may have a servo seal leaking but the band may be burnt also

Thanks for the reply. I dont think 2nd is having the problem, but would have to see if I could replicate it in that gear. For now it only seems to happen when in OD/4.

From your description it sounds like I just need a rebuild. Thanks again.
