Default WANTED: fuel pump wiring schematic

so i put a 5.3L into a 96 S10 with a carb intake and i want to run the stock fuel pump with my BG bypass regulator utilizing the return system. I went to the GM dealer to get the schematic to find out which wires in the top of the tank i need to splice into to give the fuel pump keyed power without using the stock PCM.They didnt want to help. can any wiring gurus step up to the plate and fill me in or at least give me a schematic so i can get it done to thrash on this weekend at the strip. Im a moron when it comes to wiring give me my T.I.G. and a piece of stainless tube and you wouldnt believe wat i can make. Thanks in advance Beaudacious

engine is completely stock except for the Edelbrock Intake and MSD controller
650 DP holley Sanderson Convo headers
TH350 with 3000 stall
Posi rearend and a single 3 inch Magnaflow Muffler and custom 3 inch "stock appearing" tail pipe
I predicted 14.00 seconds but all my buddies are saying 12.99 and 13.5 wat does everyone else think

Well I checked out the autozone site, (I don`t have an alldata, or mitchell subscription, just the free one) and found a wiring diagram but its not that great.

Basically there are 2 wires that come out of the fuel sending unit that power the fuel pump. The black wire is ground and the gray is power. But I would rather chase down the dark green/white trace wire that goes from the fuel pump relay to the PCM. If you supply +12v to it, the fuel pump will turn on.

Man i cant thank you enough you just made the light at the end of this long tunnel much brighter im hoping to get this truck running this weekend and work some bugs out for next friday night test and tune at the strip hoping for 14.00 fingers crossed thanks again Beaudacious

Oh yeah and I would say 13.5`s if you can hook. I was running 13.8`s with my 5.3, a stock convertor, and a 3.73, the s10 should be lighter than me.

i dont know those G-body cars are the weight distribution of any car GM produced back then 50/50 ill be happy with 14.0 on motor and maybe somewhere in the 13s with 150 shot

My car should have the worst weight distribution of any of the g-bodies. An empty bed makes for poor weight distribution. On the street I spin all the way into 2nd gear. When track time comes I usually air them down to 10-12 psi and warm um up a bit
