Default what size of shims needed for my 400 converter.

Well I just tried mating the th400 to my ls1. And I have the hughes crank spacer. And when I put it in there's a good amount of space between the flexplate and the converter. What size shims or washers are needed?

And the converter holes don't line up to the ones on the flexplate by not too much can I drill holes bigger.

Default

1/8"-3/16" gap between the converter and flexplate. Whatever shims it takes to achieve that. Make sure the pilot of the converter enters the crank spacer when it's all said and done.
