Default Borla XR-1 muffler question

Have the SLP LM2 right now and I have the XR-1 muffler in the house. I want to put the XR-1 where the LM2 resonator is... was wondering if anyone has this set-up and if they like it? Or if someone has done it and doesn't work? Just looking for opinions on the sound or any sound clips! Thanks!

Never heard it in person but it is/was a pretty popular choice. There are some clips on LS1Sounds. From what I've read it will still be loud as hell wide open but a bit deeper down low.

I bought my car with the xr1 already installed, so I never heard the slp, but its pretty quiet on idle, a sweet little rumble. It gets angry when its reved though, sounds good in my opinion and everyone I know likes/is jealous of the nice sound. There is a bit of drone at highway speeds, but nothing wind noise/a radio wont cover, but enough to silence any rear passengers you've got. That could be a good thing...

Nice man. I usually don't ever have rear passengers. But we'll see how it sounds today. I'm just gonna throw that bad boy in there.

Take a look at a magnaflow or hooker maximum flow muffler also. Theres a muffler comparison that shows the hooker being very quiet at idle, and nice and LOUD at WOT.
