Default Swap or not

My car is a 2000 trans am with 170k and a knock that seems to get worse

everyday.i have the stock engine internals and im wondering if when it comes

time to have it rebuilt with forged internals for a supercharger setup or

replaced with a 6.0 and build that up just looking for opinions and personal experiences

The questions that everyone's is going to ask you is what are your goals, budget, and plan.

Because if you want a fast street car a forged 347 would be fine, but if you want to run low 9's then maybe a forged 408 is more what your lookin for. You should also try the FI section because there are guys in there running every possible combo you can think of, from 396ci LS1's, 440 LSx's, forged 347's, 370's and anything else you can think of.

Another thing is FI especially turbos can be badass on anything, the most important thing is to match the turbo or supercharger size to the motor size YOU want to use. Theres guys with forged 347's pushing 800rwhp, that should be enough for just about anyone who plans on driving the car on the street on a regular basis.
