Default failing tq converter? tranny??

Have had no problems for the last year and a half when my trans was heavily built.
Today while driving i noticed the converter wouldn't lock up in 3rd or 4th. It would try and then jump out.
Then it started running like complete crap. When coming to a stop it would try and take off in 3rd. I can put it down to second and it would jump into 2nd. Still wouldn't lock up though.

Fluid is still clean but is about 1/2" above to full line when hot in park. I checked it a month ago and it was exactly at the full line. What would cause the fluid to be higher on the mark then before??

Default

Sounds like you going into limp mode which is and electrical issue not a trans issue as such. I would scan for codes then go from there.
