So i might have the chance to get a forged ls2 motor to replace my blown up forged ls1 motor.
Here is the thing. I wasnt really prepared for this engine going and money is kinda tight. If i can get the forged ls2 for the same as another forged ls1 should i do it. Same quality internals.
Im running a c6/truck mani kytp turbo kit with a tc78 with 3inch dp and cutout, heavily ported 241 heads and ls6 intake. How bad would it be if i wasnt able to upgrade these parts? Also my cam is a 226-228 .595/.603 lift on a 115lsa.
How will this setup up work? Is this a bad idea or should i just stick to what i know works, another forged 347?

If your on a budget the stockish cube ls2 would do just fine for the turbo. Anything bigger will require a larger trim turbo. But spool and tq is going to be nasty I would op for some 317 heads they are ls6 style just with 72cc chambers I dont know the gains over the ones you have its just a thought.
