Default Adjustable LCA?

I am wondering if I can use adj. LCA with a factory torque arm and pitman arm to move my rearend forward about a 1/2" or so, I need to tuck 28" tires on my 97 TA.

Would it be correct to assume you mean "Panhard Bar", and not "Pitman Arm"??

The only thing I could see happening is if you move the rear axle too far one way or the other, using adj. LCAs, is that you could cause the panhard bar to be in a "bind", as it's attached to the chassis on the right side, and the rear axle on the left.

In theory, those mounts should be in line with each other, so the bar can pivot smoothly.

I did this but it probably would be better to get a rod ended panhard rod to get rid of any chance of bind.

Hello
He's Right! If you have a stock or a non rod end PHB you will have the bushing in a bind..
Thanks

Hello,

Like mentioned I would recommend an adjustable panhard bar with rod ends as well for this. Also you may need an adjustable torque arm to recheck and correct the pinion angle once you make that type of move... the pinion angle may change.

Here is an item to consider. It has the adjustment you need but also sets the control arm in 3/8" for additional tire clearance for the tire width, not sure what width you are going to be running- www.umiperformance.com/2017OF

If we can help anymore please ask. Thanks!

I did it to correct the thrust line, one side forward, one side backward, i dont think it should have changed much by any noticeable amount, never checked it though.
