Default Too many cams

I'm trying to choose a mild cam that will work with the stock 241 heads for the next 50K miles or so. The GM hot cam seems like a good choice with .525 lift, but a lot of people seem to like the TR224. The car is street driven, and I don't need a lumpy idle- the AR headers and Corsa sound great at WOT. The trans is stalled at 2800 and I'm looking for strong mid range. I want to try the install myself & would like to keep it simple - maybe just springs & rockers. Car Craft did a write-up on the hot cam. Has anyone seen something similar for other mild cams?

I would go with a 224 cam if you want something mild. You'll pick up more usable power over the hot cam. If you don't want a lot of lope go for a 114 lsa.
