Default Strange ABS issue after 9" swap

I recently put a 9" rear in my car, with 4.11s and a trac lock. I had abs reluctor rings pressed on to the axle for the abs. I also had the computer adjusted for the gears and other changes.

The problem is that the car sets off the abs light after about 1-2 miles of driving and it stays on. However when I let the car sit and start it up again.. the light goes off and then after 1-2 miles it sets off again!

Everything is hooked up and should work.. what is the issue?

Replace the rear ABS harness.

Mine is doing the same thing. My 4-channel ABS worked fine before, but I figured my ABS rings must be different than the stockers to some extent. When you get it figured out let me know.

Is it a 3 channel? I was trying to chase down the same problem with my 9in. My rear ABS harness looked fine so I never replaced it. But after awhile I went to junk yard and got one for free. Turns out the plug that goes into car had connectors pulled out too far and didn't make a good connection. Now ABS works perfectly.

I don't have 4-channel....but do some reading. I have seen threads where they talk about a shim or something to fix 4-channel set ups.

Quickest way to fix it is get it scanned and see why its turning on the light.
