Default Fuel pressure problem. need help!!

my z28 has been hesitating and wont start the first 1-2 tries depending on how long it sits but it will always start on the 3rd. so i did a fuel pressure test and at idle it had 36psi and when revving it went up to 42-43psi. i know thats not what psi it should be. so my main question is what psi should it be running at? also im pretty sure that means i need a new fuel pump??

please helpp

Not neccessarily, you could just have dirty injectors. Time for an entire can of Sea Foam in a 1/4-1/2 tank of gas.

Run it out. Then change the fuel filter.
