Default Auto Zone window motor users, step in please!

I know there's a hundred threads here on this. The sticky threads pic's aren't working for some reason either. I bought a replacement window motor from AZ this morning, but it came wit hsome brackets and I'm not sure what to do with them or how to use them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I tried that like 6 years ago. Both of my factory window motors started dying the same friggin month. So I bought two new ones from Advance Auto. I think I'm a pretty handy dude, but I was like **** this ****. Drove over to an auto glass place, they put them in in like 1 hour for $25.00 per side.
Lifetime warranty and they're still perfectly fine.

Ok, so did they use the brackets included with the AZ motor or not, 4 of them, (2 U-shaped and 2 L-shaped)? I can't get the pic's to upload, they are to large!

No you don't need them, those brackets are for other applications. That motor fits other cars.

Dont need the brackets, just the bolts and nuts. Just drill out the door so you can get to the rivets on the old motor. It takes a little while the first time but when(lol, not if but when) you have to do them again it wont take long. They actually are good motors though, I did mine about 2 years ago, and a week later the other went out. I just took the old one in and told them it was the one I bought and they didnt look at teh date and gave me a new one.

yep, throw the brackets away. All you need is the motor itself. The hardest part will be getting the old motor out. Oh and don't let the window fall

Appreciate it, got it knocked out last night. One more thing, the e-door lock takes several presses to lock/unlock, is it available at the AZ too? I'm thinking of going ahead and replacing it as well.

Autozone offers two motors, which one should I buy? Dorman or Cardone? Looks like there are two Cardones listed on the website?

I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts it has a life time warranty and it took about 45 minutes to replace the old one (drivers side) the pass side started getting slow a couple of years later and did that one in about 30 minutes..no big deal there are good insructions with lots of pics on line to help you.
