Default hey guys i need ur advice

Hey all i need ur op on buying a shortblock. What are the things that i need to look for ?
Should i take it to another shop to have it inspected?
Any help or idear's would be much appreciated..

Any time you buy an used short block, one your rolling the dice and it should be independently inspected. Now if the guy says "well I had a little issue and it might need to be sleeved," "Might" means it will and also if it needs resleeving I would have the block X-rayed and its expensive. To me if your going to buy a block buy one with low miles or a new one, preferably a new one. YOU NEVER KNOW what an used block has been through.

true, i was thinking of one with low miles or maybe i should go lq4
now that i have the chance.

Bishops in Dallas has a nice selection of LQ4's I picked one up from there yesterday for cheap.
