Gear for a Procharged SS w/9in
Well it looks like i'll finally be ditching my shitty 10 bolt and picking up a 9in. I talked to bob out at EPP and got some good advice. Upon talking to more people, my gear choice still remains undetermined. I need advice. I'm pretty much inbetween chosing 3.70's....or 3.89's i believe. Most of the mods are in the sig, and I want to break into the 10's in current trim hopefully. Lets hear the wealth of knowledge flow lol

I am running a spool. But I am also running a narrowed rear. I wouldn't trust a tru trac at my power level with all the things I have heard of them breaking. And some people don't like how lockers act in M6 cars.
My car is not my DD so I was not worried about running the spool however I do drive it around a fair amount and don't have any issues with it

What size tires are you going to run at the track? I am running 28 inch slicks at the track and I have ran both 3.70s and 3.89s. My fastest pass was with 3.89s. I just put 3.89s back in my car.
If you are going to stay with the stock size tire then I would probably go with 3.70s. Here is a good link to calculate what mph you are running at a certain rpm. http://www.f-body.org/gears/ Just try to figure out what you think you will run and then select the gear that fits that best with the rpms you want to cross the line at.
