removing ABS...how?

removing ABS...how? I want to remove the ABS system from my 01 Z28 (3 channel) and replace it with a proportioning valve. I have a few questions for anyone who might have already done this:
1) Once the ABS "pump" unit is removed, how do I keep the "ABS INOP" light from coming on (or will it come on)?
2) I "think" the stock master is a duel chamber design (one piston for the front and one for the rear). One line coming out of the master is larger than the other so which should I use for the front and which for the rear (I would think the front would get the larger due to the front calipers requiring more fluid capacity)?
3) What flare are the lines (are they single or double flare) and what sizes am I dealing with?

This is how I removed the ABS. You will get an ABS INOP light and brake light.
The lines are 3/16" and 6 mm. The 1/4" fitting works on the 6 mm. No flaring is required. These are high pressure compression fittings.
(1) Swagelok union tee SS-300-3 $17.90
(1) Swagelok reducing union SS-400-6-3 $8.50
Houston Center Valve and Fitting, 713 527 0233. Ask for Shonda. Tell her it's the same as order number 97179975. Invoice number 401345. Shipping was $4.07.
Note: Order an extra set of ferules just in case your lose one. They are pretty small and easy to drop.

I have yet to get a proportioning valve. I need to get one. I can stop pretty hard but haven't tried a panic stop yet. I'm sure the rear tires are going to skid first without the valve.

I also used high psi compression fittings.I got mine from www.Mcmaster.com
They also have the proper 6mm fitting.
Simply cut the flare ends off the stock lines with a tubing cutter. Then use common sense to fit them to the new compression fittings for a nice clean install.
