baseline with only 2xx miles and an LMR CAI

The car will be on the dyno tomorrow for a full tune after installation of the SW 1 7/8 headers, cats and catback.

I bet it is, all I see on the street is boring ass Silver, which I got to look at for the past 3-4 years. I know one will be out in CT soon!

nice power for only a CAI. baselines are all over the place for these cars.

True I have seen dyno numbers for these cars anywhere from 35x rwhp to 38x rwhp stock. But this is probably due in the most part to the different dynos. I doubt they would fluctuate more than about 10rwhp with all things being equal.(same day, same mileage, both running good etc etc.)

It is probably differences between dynos. Head and cam AFR headed ls1 cars were only putting down in the 420 rwhp range on the dyno I had my car tuned on. It is also up to the owner of the dyno as to how it is calibrated.

So are the results tuned or not? It only picked up 24 hp with a full exhaust and tune?

The car is making the same power as my car with a tune and a factory air box is why I asked. The car picked up 20hp and 30ft pounds just adding a cai?

I need his cai.

He states that the last pull was tuned.

Pretty good numbers I think. I would hope to gain a few more with headers and tune but realistically it's not bad. It just means that the factory exhaust isn't holding it back as much as on some cars.

Probably sounds like my goat (SW full kit on it).

x2 on the sound clip!

Larry, how does the SW setup stack up against the ARH and Kooks systems (fit, finish, etc)?

I'll let you know what mine dynos tommorow.LG built a set of Headers for mine and they are using it as a lab rat to see what kind of power gains it makes vs stock..... Still has the stock air box and stock exhaust. Just curious as to what the DA makes. Mine made that power in 90 degree heat.

Great numbers Larry, from the under body shots, these cars look like GM built them with long tubes in mind.

thanks guys

We have not done any Kooks yet, though this car was supposed to get a a complete Kooks setup. They just never got us the system and we went with SW instead.

We are getting setup with ARH soon and will have some feedback for you.

Orange : 415 rwhp with only a tune on your car is a lot of power man! We never see those TX #'s up here on our dyno.

so what are you hoping for with a CAI and headers? 450?

The overall gain from a stock car at 370-375 to 415 with a CAI, exhaust and tune is really good IMO. The catback on most newer GM cars we have seen little to no gains here.

I thought it may make a little more power, but it is what it is and again at the end of the day it's great power to most people for the mods.

I was saying my car made 395/398 tunned with a muffler. LG built some headers today and it made 409/416 to the ground. Next week they are building some 1 7/8 headers and will compare the 1 3/4 vs 1 7/8. I still have the stock air box too. Going to the track tomorrow night to see what the extra 14/18 do. Maybe a tenth?

Orange let us know how the LG 1 7/8 do! Do you think LG will sell them as LG Pro Long tubes for the Camaro?

I dont really know, I'll talk with them tonight at the track and ask.
