Default head reccomendations

i'm trying to get my parts list together for a 7-8 psi procharger build. i'd like to get some input on heads. i like the stage 2 livernois heads, purely based on price and flow numbers, i think they have stock combustion chambers. i've seen alot of people reccomend 317 heads. i'm planning on putting in forged pistons and rods, so do i still want to lower the compression with 317 heads or should i lower the compression with the pistons and run a different head? or should i just run the stock heads with dished pistons? as you can tell from the myriad of questions, i need some guidance.

the starting point is a 99' LS1 and A4.

I don't like the "AS CAST" Trickflow heads because you HAVE to get roller rockers. There is nothing wrong with factory rockers. Especially with the Harland Sharp upgrade or Comp Cams upgrade kit. So if you add the price of roller rockers to the as cast price you may as well buy CNC'd AFR's or ETP's that don't need roller rockers. Just my opinion though. I'm using ported stock 243's on my build.

All after market heads with bronze valve guide should run roller rockers.

Just cause something can be done doesnt make it a good idea. I have friends running stock rockers on TFS too

Yes there pretty good. But if you dont have a set yet there alot better for a little more. Trickflow will be like 200 more and have alot stronger design so later on when you up the boost you can still use the same heads
