The C6 Z06 is quicker in the 1/4 mile, traps higher, and has a higher top speed. In a race from a dig or roll, the C6Z will come out on top with a competent driver. On a roadcourse, the GTR is consistently quicker than the C6Z and slower than the C6ZR1.

whats the quartermile time of a c6 z06? and there wasnt any top speed catgory, nor a roll race. id say the c6zo6 is right around 12 flat. i seen bone stock down to the paper go a best of 11.93. and 0-60 is prolly better in the gtr bc the zr1 tied w it, so i doubt the z06 will be as fast or faster than the zr1.

supercars.net list the c6z06 at 12 flat in the quarter and 3.9 in the 0-60. both of which r slower than the gtr.

there have been many races that show a C6Z and a Zr1 neck and neck with the Zr1 BARELY pulling up top...

No doubt the ZR1 is better in every way. Both are awesome cars IMO. GTR is about $30k cheaper though. I never really understood why people always paired these cars up as competitors.

lol dude are you joking??? there are bone stock C5 Z06's running high 11's, a C6 Z06 will do low 11's with a good driver and high 10's with DR's

and yea C6Z's are pretty much one of the best N/A car out there.. think about it.. most of the cars that can beat it are boosted in some way.

Comparing these two is apples to oranges.

If you go by price the GTR is the best bang for the buck. If you go by power numbers its the ZR1, if you go for best track car GTR & ZR1, if you go for highest potential and mod ability than Z06.

If price is no object, in stock trim...C6ZR1>GTR>Z06.

Used prices is a whole other ballgame IMO. I was referring to new car prices and new the Z06 is on par with the GTR if not slightly higher. I haven't seen any used GTR's for sale yet either so I dunno but if we were dealing with used vehicles I would probably opt for the Z06. :nod:

Ya I agree. They are damn near trapping what the gtr's do with 75 less advertised hp. Gotta love how light they are.

you might want to search a bit on here, there are plenty of documented runs in the bottom 11s for the c6z.

From what I've read and seen concerning the Z06 and GTR is that the Z06 wins hands down from a roll or a dig. As others have stated the C6 Z06 is a mid to low 11 second car with a good driver.

As far as handling, the GTR is prone to neutral understeer that is easy to deal with at and beyond the limit. While you get amazing grip and you can blast through corners, it's not really capable of being tossed around or "toyed" with. On the roadcourse the GTR is quicker on every track than the Z06 but only marginally, in some cases by less than a second. If you want a car you can mess and throw around than the Z06 is the right choice.

Personally, I like both and I'd be hard pressed to choose between the two but I would probably pick the C6Z solely for its used cost (though that's not entirely fair).:secret2:

i hate nissan, or any foreign cars. im just sayin i dont think that the c6 is as fast as theyre makin it out to be. i think the record for the zr1 with drag radials is 1098, and this dudes tellin me c6s run 10s easy on radials,

he is telling you the truth... with drag radials and a tune a c6Z will be in the 10s.. a C5Z with CAI tune and tires will be in the 11s..

Those GTR vs the world debates we had on here when the GTR first came out were fun for a little while though weren't they!! :jest:

I'd never get the GTR because 1) I hate imports and 2) I want to be able to do regular maintenance on the car without having to tear the front end apart :jest:
