I got a 2010 SS yesterday and am trying to decide what exhaust to put on it. For the money, I really like SLP Loudmouth. Anyone else have any thoughts on this exhaust or another one?

Delete the 2 rear mufflers and put a dual in dual out Magnaflow muffler in place of the H-pipe. I own a muffler shop, I can duplicate this exhaust system for less then 300 bux.

I have the magnaflow too and love it, they are cheaper on ebay but I wanted a warranty(salt in winter kills an exhaust) so I got it here. magnaflow 15906 (http://magnaflow.allexhaust.com/7209.html), or you can try one of the vendors selling magnaflow exhaust (http://magnaflow.allexhaust.com) here, they are always running sales/specials. Either way its a great system and very easy to install.:eek2:

Remove Mid Resonator, install straight pipes, remove rear mufflers n replace with flowmasters. Tons of owners love it!

thanks for your help guys, do any of you have numbers on power gains by changing exhaust on these cars, the stock system looks and sounds so restricted that it has to be choking these cars a bit

Also, do any of you guys have sound clips of your exhaust setups? I'd like to hear what they sound like

Kind of a change from the 4th gen's exhaust setup isn't it? :jest:

With a set of American Racing Headers the stock exhuast actually sounds really good.

I agree with Fran...do headers and leave the stock catback and see how you like it. The catback swap is not worth much power, but more sound.

That is what i am doing to mine first and then decide on a axle back later.

thanks guys, think I might do the headers first too then. they look like a pretty straight foward install judging from the how to posts ive seen.
