Default What turbo for a 94 V6?

I know on alot of cars you can mix parts and turbos from another car.. My friend with a mustang can fit headers and pipes and intake from a ford explorer and get a pretty good HP boost. I was wondering what sort of car would have a turbo that either fits or could be modified to fit my 3.4L. I was talking to a guy who worked at a junkyard and he said the 3.8L turbo would fit. PM or post if you know any sort of part that would fit mine for a HP gain.
Thanks!

Don't know much about this...but I would suggest not rigging your car and actually finding a turbo made for the car or at least something similar. That seems like the best idea to me.

"You should put some GO behind that SHOW ricer!"

I like your saying but you should at least wait until you have a car to back it up.. The 3.4L were pigs, 160hp that are good for a mid-low 16 second 1/4 mile time..

thats stock. If you could only see the little POS cars around here you would understand. Civics with GIANT spoilers, CF hoods, and a stupid sounding muffler. nothing around here breaks 100 horses. its sad really.

I am only busting your *****, my first car was a 1996 3.8L wasn't as slow as the 3.l4 my buddy had but both were pretty slow. But they were a good first car and the 3.8L can be made pretty quick.

I soppose the main thing to ask about the 3.4 is what is the mileage, and do you trust the valvetrain?
If both of those are a yes, any 35mm to about 45mm turbo thats not shitty ae(mitsubishi, ect.) would work and add roughly 20 to 45hp (safely) without any other mods I would think.

3.4's arent' that bad. Got 240,000 miles on mine and still get 26 mpg. Of course, I wouldnt' try to hot rod it. Just a daily driver.

I mean i got 211K miles on my baby. I ported, polished, bored the engine at 209.8K ish. I replaced the gaskets, lines, and everything other than the big parts. I am planning on running this thing into the ground. Any links to a good turbo (40-50 HP sounds good) that will last around 10K miles or so would be awesome. Thanks!
PS-and i know my car isnt THAT fast, but enough to keep my *** happy

id say something small. i wouldnt break 40mm probably. turbos arent really built for certain cars. have you ever seen a turbo in a car? its just in one place with the rest of the kit (compressor, piping, IC, etc.). just find a turbo that wont be overkill for your size motor and youll be fine. buying a used turbo is definitely on my list of "dont do's" but to each his own.

id say just keep the money and save up for an V8 fbody, preferably LS1 but LT1s are still great performance for cheap these days.
