Fastest stock short block 1/4 mile pass.
I know guys have pushed these things into the high 5's in the 1/8 but what I wanan know is what is the fastest anyone has gone in the 1/4 and had one live?
So far I am at 9.51@146 and corrected to sea level that would be 9.41@147.4
that was on 14 psi and pump gas, I drive the car to and from the track and to work and back all the time.
Just kinda curious how fast guys have went on this junk.

You would be the one of the fastest on a stock short block I think, Parish had the turbo fairmont with a stock 5.3 (just had a cam and valve springs if i remember) and the Ohio boys went pretty quick with an incon TT on a stock short block - dont remember the exact ETs though.

on 12psi the first year with a stock 4l80 converter (around 1700stall) and street tires it did 12.20@124
On DRs and 8-9psi it did 11.7x@118
stock stall and 14psi it did 11.7x@127 (i was extremely hungover and couldnt brake boost)
with a fuddle 3200stall, DRs and 8-9psi it did 11.42@119, every one of those runs was 3760 raceweight and on 89 octane, no intercooler. According to my logs it was making 632hp and 585tq. Accurate or not the HPT horsepower calculator is consistant. On 16lbs, 16* timing, 91 octane and 3 gallons of 105, no intercooler it was making 785hp and 690tq (these are all at the crank) and i could pull cars that trapped 135-140 on the interstate by a car or 2. Im pretty confident it would have ran bottom 10s at 135, i had a handful of passes that were 127-132 on 14lbs and just 91 octane with 12* timing. According to the logs again, from 14lb/12* up to 16lb/16* i picked up 80hp. This was in a 87 Buick GN with stock LQ4, Lunati 224/224-112 cam and a BW S475 as the only mods to it. Also with a 9" and 3.08 gears

I have been 6.1@117 1/8 mile numerous times but the hard part is to make them live for a long time and lots of 1/4 mile runs and lots of daily driver duty.
Guys have been 5.7x in the 1/8 but try to make that same set up live for numerous full 1/4 mile pases and see how it works out.
