overdrive alt pulley broke off?

overdrive alt pulley broke off? my car is a 00 TA m6..asp UD crank pulley, overdrive alt pulley. correct size belt, etc. just had my h/c/i swap done and picked up the car earlier. drove about 40 miles and all of a sudden my voltage drops wayyy down, TCS OFF and ABS lights come on, followed by my gauges jumping all over the place. as im attempting to get off the highway i hear "CLUNK CLUNK" and look in my rearview and see my serpintine belt laying in the middle of the highway. Shut the car off immediately and pulled to the side. check under the hood, and the alt pulley is nowhere to be found. friend of mine that was driving behind me said he saw the pulley hit the ground and bounce off into the grass. anyone got any ideas as to what couldve caused this? thanks in advance
