Dyno Guesses & Bench Racing Forum - F13 Cam-only swap

Going to have the cam installed saturday. Then hopefully a couple weeks after that I will have it tuned. I've seen a few graphs and videos of the cam but not much of just cam-only.

Pretty much just wondering what you guys think I will make on the dyno? Im hoping for 400rwhp.

Here are the list of mods its gonna have:

Stock '01 LS1 block (241 heads w/ patriot golds)
SLP Lid w/ K&N filter
FTRA, SLP Bellow, SLP MAF, P&P TB
LS6 intake
Pacecetter LT's w/ ORY (have stock CB w/ QTP cutout)
F13 Cam (specs 230/232 .595"/.585" 112LSA
ASP Pulley

BTW, car is a 6 speed with stock gears. Also running stock injectors. Cant wait to drive it and hope its gonna be fun! :D
I'll keep you guys posted of some videos and graphs, but in the meantime, what do you guys think for HP/TQ numbers?

shortblock has 69K miles on it

That's an awesome cam. Expect 400-420rwhp on stock heads, with excellent driveability for that size cam.

Moving to bench racing section for predictions. Feel free to re post the results in the dyno section after it's all done. :thumb:

i had that cam in my 01' trans am but on a 114 +4 LSA (see sig)

that car was my daily driver when i had it, drove great. through my 4l60e it put down 360rwhp or so without going into power enrichment, the mail order tune i had on it before i went in for a dyno tune was messed up. once my tuner figured it out i didnt get back on the dyno but it sure felt like it picked up 20-30hp after that. he predicted it should of put down close to 390rwhp.

I hope i get in between those numbers. Yeah driveability is a must because its mainly my DD and still want some decent power. Also kinda wanted a cam to where i can keep my stock gears. Dont wanna rev this car to 7k to get my power

I don't see it being a problem. Futral cams not only make good numbers but they perform to back it up.

Now just saving up for a tune. Oh and BTW, you think I would benefit in putting some 4.10 gears in? I mean it already rips 1st and 2nd gear but im not sure. If i take it to the track I just dont want to shift out of 4th right before the end. Then again, its my daily driver, not a drag car

yeah got it tuned and made 382hp/374tq on a dynapack dyno. I heard those dynos rate you lower like a mustang dyno. Car drives awesome and has great street manners.

1loudz28 has that cam making 386 or so at the wheels. You going to sac or infineon anytime soon?
