Default trailblazer SS complete swap 4x4 is it possible?

i dont know if this could work in a car or more specifically in an fj40. but could i run the LS2 with 4L70-E and the stock transfer case that comes out of a 06 trailblazer SS? i dont know if the system is AWD or 4WD but it would definitly need to be 4WD to have any chance of working. I would like to just use the stock transfer case and have a new front drive shaft made that will fit my application. does anyone have any experience with this or with using the stock transfer case off the trailblazer? any info would be great thanks!

The TBSS is AWD, so you could get the engine and trans. Then you could get a regular Trailblazer transfer case and control module and switch, they are 4wd.

is the 4WD transfer case strong enough to handle the ls2?

Without aggressive 4wd launches, yes.
Might as well use a part time 4wd full size truck transfer case. 99-06 silverado/sierra,etc
