Default My wiring seems to be done!

I think the wiring is very bad on my car, as I've had multiple codes that are unrelated, and I've heard from many this either means grounding problems or a bad wiring harness...

What should I go with? a new LS1 harness or is there a company that does one specific for swaps excluding uneeded wiring...?!

Well you can go with Speartech, or just go through your harness and figure out what is missing.

What exactly was torn up? I wouldn't think a wreck could tear up to much. I figured that someone had cut a bunch of wiring out.

If the body crumbled and cut some wires, big deal just solder them back together and heat shrink them. A lot of wires are removed anyways when doing your own harness.

ok u know what, u've convinced me, this is going to be my step now... I will be back with updates on how am doing, I had everything from diagrams and all for the wires, but lost them in a format cause I had no external drive to back them up so after I pick all the harness out im going to recheck everything...

THANKS!

It just protects the bare wires after you solder it. Just slide some heat shrink over the wires before you solder them together. Then slide the heat shrink over the part you just soldered and grab a lighter and heat up the heat shrink. It will shrink in size hugging the wires tightly, making it water proof pretty much.

If your harness is for a 99-02 f-body, the engine schematics are here in the conversion section. Do a search for schematics and they should come up.

most of the grounds attached to the heads right front and left rear. also from the right front to the frame rail under the abs unit. one maybe located at the left rear of the head to the body at the firewall.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-pin-outs.html

this should help a bit, also see post #5 for a schematic that looks pretty good

https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...schematic.html

it's not too difficult to figure out but the language thing will complicate matters a bit, good luck
