Strano Springs... in stock (low, but I have some)
Subject line says it all. I have sets of springs that were not pre-sold. A few I'm holding for order that haven't yet cleared, but I have about 20 sets left at this time.... More are on order, but we all know that'll be a while when these are gone.

Here are some pics and links to threads with impressions. They are about a 1.2" drop on most cars (it can vary since some are so tall to start, and some have trashed springs and sit too low). They are $275/set shipped to the 48 states. They are the original lightweight linear working rate springs for this car. They are the only ones with a competition pedigree, and results to prove they work (we lopped almost 7 seconds per lap off a car using these springs, Strano bars and a set of Koni's).

Hey Sam, just out of curiosity how many sets did you get out of this batch? Delivery on mine is scheduled for tomorrow. Can't wait to get the stockers off and these on the Konis

I'm just curious if these would be the best choice for my car.
My car is mainly a weekend warrior. I hit the drag strip a lot more than the twisties. I would like to lower the car about an 1-1.25 all the way around. Will these springs adversely affect my 60' times (currently avg 1.72)? How is the ride compared to stock?
Maybe, I'm asking for too much, but I would like the car to drive nice (i.e. not rattle the fillings out of my mouth), handle slightly better than stock, and still be able to cut a decent 60'.
Here is my current suspension set-up: Bilstein HD's, adjustable LCA's, adjustable PHB, adjustable TA, and weld in SFC's. Power wise, I'm putting down 520rwhp/500rwtq. Car weighs 3750 with me in it.
Thanks.

I have to be upfront here. The Bilstein's might be part of the issue (they aren't really great control dampers). You might instead want to upgrade swaybars too. Neither of those things will give you a drop you want, you will need springs to get that. But shocks are spring dampers, and when the springs gets stiffer, and the travel gets shorter they demand more from the dampers. If the shocks can't keep up, the ride actually gets worse than with springs and firmer shocks because things just aren't controlled well in the suspension--much like valve springs that aren't up to the job can cause valve float.
The hitch here is simple... When you say "I would like the car to drive nice (i.e. not rattle the fillings out of my mouth), handle slightly better than stock" that's a little hard to flesh out. Not many folks ask for a car to handle worse, or no better. The trouble is "handling" is a broad term. That can include ride, stability, response, how the car deals with bumps, etc.... The definition of "handling" is different for everyone.
I'm happy to help, and if springs will do it, great. If they won't, I'll tell you. But you need to be able to tell me, at least roughly, what it is you'd like to change about how the car acts/feels first. I can't recommend pills if I don't know the illness.

If you got an invoice in your e-mail and/or a FedEx ship notification, they are on the way. A few orders haven't gone out because the credit cards have not cleared and I have calls into those folks. I really can't go over every individual order, please understand. But-- Larry, yours are on the way.

Learning and setting up Koni's took me a lot of time and effort, so I can't just spill the settings publicly and let those that purchased them elsewhere use knowledge that cost me a lot of time and money to develop. I will give some setup insight to those customers that bought their Koni's from Strano Performance (I don't hide that information). But much like Dell can't help you setup your HP, I can't really pass out information I developed for all to see.
If you bought your Koni's from me--I'd be happy to help specifically.
I will say this. The softer the front shocks, the faster the weight transfer, but also the less adept at controlling the spring rate. What's the best setting? In the end it's what works best on your car for your compromise.

Just a small reminder: Strano Springs are $275 out the door, shipped, as in total to the 48 states (unless you are PA, then there is Sales Tax).
Strano Springs were never intended to be the cheapest, but the best. I don't get them made on the cheap, and that in turn adds cost. I don't have to cut the pricing to make them move because the reputation of the product speaks for itself. Also, to be 100% frank, doesn't it make you wonder how much profit those companies are making when they "slash prices"? Anyone with a brain knows they aren't giving away parts because that doesn't put money in their pockets. I don't give away parts either, but due to quality and material Strano Springs simply cost more to make and get than knock-offs.
Strano Performance is a very, very small company. In fact, it's just me. A car-guy, and a racer. The way I run my business is to try and help folks make sure people get what they need, for a fair price. I'm not here to run anyone out of business, I'm not here to copy other parts that already exist. There are two ways to run a business. Small corner store, and Wal-Mart.

I hope you have a set next week for me to order. I have a possible deal on wheels at the moment so that will mean I need a drop. Quick question, how much do your springs weigh a peice, front and back?

Sam -
Why are your springs better than "company x"? What materials and processes are used in the making of your springs that make them better than the "price slashing" company you speak of?
You talk a lot about quality control... how much quality and control can you have when a product is manufactured overseas, from overseas materials, and the only time you see them is when they are passing through your warehouse on their way to the customer?
Thanks for your time.
