Default Comp Lsr Turbo Cam 54-480-11

I called comp and got this cam recommendation...#54-480-11 it is there new line of turbo camshafts...my question is how can i find out if this cam will go in my stock 02 ls1 motor without any flycutting or modification since the compcams help couldnt tell me...the duration at 50 is 227/223 and the lift is 614/610 on a 115. Any Help would definatley be appreciated..thanks

That's a mid size cam and you SHOULD be fine. It's always good to be safe and check ptv clearances.

It's duration that causes piston to valve contact, not lift.

I ground a cam almost identical to that one for a customer about a year ago. It fit fine in a stock LS1.

reverse split..bit high on lift reasonable lsa. Should have maybe slight lope. Make sure you get seriously good valve spring with that much lift. Like partriot extremes or comparable and be ready to check your valve springs and possibly be changing them out more often then if you stayed lower lift.
I went with 1.8 rockers and have around 590 lift on my car. If did it again think would just stick with 1.7 and keep the lift more in the 550 range. I run lingenfelter turbo cam gt7. Seems to work good, zero lope ,normal split. Factory z06 have some nearly identical also.

05-07 ZO6 cam 210/230 .561/.557 –120.5 LSA
Lingenfelter GT7 208/230 .554/.546 –121CL

www.exoticperformanceplus.com is where i found this cam...comp would not sell it to me because it is a special grind just for them...so i called Bob up there and talked to him about it and he said gains are roughly 60 hp on a forced induction set up without changing heads and there is not flycutting involved...there is also a clip on this cam ideling in a GTO and it sounds awesome...there are also a few dyno graphs but its hard to compare them to what i have. check it out
