Compression test?

Compression test? PM me if you have a compression testing tool and some time on Thursday/Friday. I am buying a car and would like the extra peace of mind knowing that the car I'm buying isn't fucked up internally (which could be why the owners friends are hassling me to buy it fast). I have heard conflicting opinions about potential damage due to the accident it was in and am really stressing on this. I want this car but really want to know ahead of time if there will be any issues down the road.

Wow Lee, I thought we were friends. I wouldn't push you to buy an engine if it was fucked up. Come on, it has 62k original miles and the owner babies the damn thing. (no offense Johnny) He's tracked it a few times, installed LT headers and a lid, that's it. He loved that car and treated it well. I wanted you to buy it because it has everything you need, it's in excellent shape, and you are getting it for a good price. Stop worrying about the engine already. Honestly if Johnny would have accepted payments, I was going to get the engine before you had a chance to buy it. You can ask him.

FYI, I think he ran a 8.6 at Irwindale with bad 60' times launching on street tires (don't remember if it was before or after the LT's). Pretty sure that's normal for a healthy LS1/4L60E. It never hurts to be careful though, go ahead and perform the compression test.

Thank you. I appreciate all that you've done in general. I'm just weirded out because the only times I have been pressured into buying a car without performing basic tests is when there is something wrong with it. I have had too many friends burn me and the people I know to not be paranoid sometimes.

I was going to buy that engine and put a nice cam it and sell my LT1/T56. Told him I'd make him payments of 500, but he needs the cash. I can't think of anyone better to buy it than you Lee. Let me know when you want to swap it in.
P.S. You know we need to race once you get that thing in there.

+ 1 on the wow .... I also know johnny and that car was like his baby. We even gave him **** for not getting on it lol. Its in perfect condition i think he drove it into the garage and i dont think we would do that to you your a homie Your ZEX lol sorry i had to say it

Edit: You know what, now that I think about it - it could be related to the brake booster and not have anything to do with the motor. Me being paranoid again.
