Default Car Feel....going from stock converter to YANKSS4000 with mods...

OK I have the mods in my sig, but haven't put a converter in the car yet, how much of a difference will the converter make and feel(seat of the pants) compared to the stock converter with my mods. My main concern is from a roll, a car with 100rwhp less than me can hang more than I would like it to, but from a stop I destroy them. What kind of improvement in 1/4 times will it make with my mods. I know there are lost of questions just trying to figure out what to expect from the YANKSS4000 converter that I'll be getting soon. Thanx.

imagine the motor shifting to 5000-5300 rpm's on each gear succession to what you got now.

You will see some gain from a roll but most down low, shift extension will be great on that converter, should be very nice.

when you first put it in and drive it down the road, youll think its a lot slower till you hit it and roast the tires

Yes it may seem a little slower but when you punch it its going to have some get up and go compared to when you were stock.

If power from a roll is your main concern, then get a YTP 4000 or 4200. It will be looser than an SS4000 but the YTP 4200 is the king of the road from a roll.

I have this converter and I can tell you that it feels nothing like stock in any regard. Compared to stock, it totally kicks *** in performance...but it is a bit loose. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad. Nothing like the TP4600 I used to run. I actually like this SS4000 for my everyday driver with 3.23 gears but some people might think it's a bit much. I've done a little adjusting to the part throttle shift points and converter lockup programming and it's very acceptable, IMO. Others might think an SS3800 or even an SS3600 would be better for an everyday driver.

On thing's for sure, those folks that are beating you from a roll now are going to be seeing nothing but taillights once you're running a 4000 stalll.
