Arrow Going From ym 17" TTMs to my stock 16x8 rims..

Last time i ran at the trick on my 17" TTMs with Nittos (street tire 315/35) i ran a 12.30 @ 115 with a 1.9 60'

Now this week i got my 16x8 alloy rims and i just ordered my M/T ET STREET RADIALS 26x10.5x16 (255/50/16)

i weighed my 16x8 5 star alloys. They weighed (rim itself) 18lbs 4oz. And i think the TTMs weigh (according to the wheel weights here on tech) The 17x9 weighs 24lbs and the 17x10.5 weighs 27lbs

hopefully with smaller wheels and little weight drop off i will be in the 11s

I went from TTM 17's to my 18" Ruff racing 280's and noticed a decent increase in acceleration and top end pull....

when I took off the TTM's and put on the ruff racings, their was a noticable weight different. My ttm's did have goodyear GS d3's in 315's on the rear tho and my ruff racings had 285's on the rear/275's on the front.

I havent been back to the track to confirm anything but with the TTM's I was trapping 116.

Going for another round tonight. Found a few bugs in the stock tune, the transmission was shifting softer than factory. Last week it ran 13.5@102 with just a lid and a catback. I am going to open the cutout and try flashing the converter this time around verse stalling it to 1200. Soon the real mods will begin.

Cool let me know what you run..

You are pretty much stock besides a lid, tune and c/b....

I know nothing about convertors, so what does 'flashing the convertor' mean?

Are you sure you got the weights right for the TTM's? I believe the TT2's 11" rim weighed 27 lbs. I have read from various posts that the 9.5" weighs in at around 22 and the 10.5 at around 24.

So then what is your question? There is really no difference besides the TTIIs and the TTMs besides ones chrome and one is black with a machined lip

The Torq Thrust II's weigh more than the Torq Thrust M's because they are different designs is what I was trying to say.
