just wondering what the stock axle ratio was on you automatic guys?

i know they have more than one combo from factory. thanks my M6 3:42

I could be wrong, but I think most v-8's had the 3.42 rear. my v-6 has a 3.23

All M6s got 3.42s. All auto SSs got 3.23s. Other non-SS autos got either 2.73 if you dont have Z rated tires stock or 3.23s if you did get Z rated tires. All 2.73 autos got a steel driveshaft, All 3.23 autos and M6s got an aluminum driveshaft.

yeah, it will also tell you if you look in the driver door and find the right abbreviation on the GM sticker, I guess you could google them all.
