What rpm is the engine shifted at? 600 vs 730rhwp is a wide range.

Its going to be shifted at 7000. There's a few things that might change since its still not done but that's around where its gonna be.

I think you'd want to run 26's or 28's.

For 26's you probably want to keep the gearing in the 3.25-3.50 range. I think for 28's you'd want to run 3.50-370's. I'd run probably 3.50's to start.

If you do not have a traction issues 26 is ideal, given the cam and stall, you should not be spinning. I like John's idea of the mid 3's for the gearing.

Thats a lot of cam, and a lot of stall. Aren't you also running a bunch of compression? I'd love to hear some more details on this build, sounds like a monster. What are your E.T. goals? I think I would definitly be looking at a tall tire on this build, and a good gear, I'd have to agree with mid 3's.

Hmmm I always believed a taller tire means more traction due it having a longer footprint? And I am at 12.5compression it has forged internals ported heads a victor jr intake with a demon 850 carb. I am aiming at mid 10s hopefully.

Yup, taller tire=longer footprint. What heads and head gasket are you running?

I'm running some ported 806s. They flow close to the 300 range @.600 and I'm running the trickflow (cometic) .053 gaskets.

I went 9.40@143, 3.50, 3450 raceweight, 680rwhp, 7000 rpm shift points. I'd expect to run at least 10.00 with another 350 lbs. I'm thinking I'd still squeak into the 9's.

I'm thinking he ran a TH400 as well. Don't remember the tire though. I like the sounds of your build, I think it has a lot of potential.

Only about 7psi with c16. Good thing it has 112lsa so it can bleed some of the boost also. But I'm sure it will make good power.

Do you already own the turbos? if not, might think about going a little bigger. I wouldn't think spooling would be much of an issue with that much compression.
