stains on new disc..vibration and fade
I got a fast run on highway and noticed fade and vibration on my brand new disc#pads after break in.
Now there is some sort of stains on the disc that looks like soldering drips. I was told it is the zinc coating not completly gone and thats what cause juddering.
Are the discs/pads done or the coating will go away??

I bedded my new pads and rotors in correctly and I still had some coating. It takes a little while to get that stuff 100% gone when you first get them, but it will wear off. As far as shaking, something is not right. From my own research new rotors need to be broken in too. If they're used too aggressively too soon then maybe they won't work as desired. What kind of pads and rotors did you get?
the coating on mine never caused any kind of shaking. and you said soldering drips? maybe lines, but drips? I don't know what to say about that.

It only looked like soldering drips. If the coating is not all gone, it certainly makes the disc surface uneven.
I get the vibration above 100mph which is not too bad. Its blank disc with semi-metallic pads, all new. Break in instruction where followed.
So, do you think the disc/pads are alright or maybe the vibration will be there forever..cause I'll ditch the damn/pads right away.

Well, theyre new, but they are broken in, so yes they will see hard stop for all their life.
I dont wanna turn this into a sponsor bashing session, so I will keep the name shut.
Just need to know if the disc could be dead now or if the vibration will go away with time..

With mine I burnished them as the directions said then gave them a good while like atleast 200 miles, maybe even 500 miles before I started beating on them. I think new rotors need to be seasoned by being put through heat cycles before being used aggressively. I could be wrong.
