Default Compresion Ratio vs. Octane Rating

Hey guys, I am building a motor for my Tahoe and have a question about compression ratio and the fuel that I will have to run. I am building a 5.7L using a LS1 block and 706 5.3L heads. What compression ratio will that give me and what fuel will I have to run. This is my DD for work and I tow a small trailer everyday. I spend enough on gas as it is and would like to stay with running 87 octane if possible. I know there are several options as far as head gaskets so please advise on what I should use. Let me know where I am going to be at. Thanks.

I think it is 12.2 to 1 Max for 93 Octane. Cool Thread Though Maybe more people have insight to the different octanes!!!!

With a .041 mls gasket I would imagine somewhere between 10.3-10.5 so you should be able to get by with 89. Depending on tune you may be able to go really conservative on the timing and still run 87 but that would kinda defeat the purpose of upping the compression in the first place. Gotta pay to play
