Drag Racing Results - First time at the strip

Well took the Z down to the local 1/8 mile this evening. It ran a best of 7.82 at 92mph on the Firestone Wide Ovals at street pressures. What do you guys think of that? Mods are in sig.

Not real up to speed on what times are good for vettes but I can tell you that a 7.8 in a Z28 at around 3600 lbs is good for 11s where I live. Put some true sticky tires on that car and bust off some 7.40s. Congrats on your times!

I haven't even driven it at the strip. I'm not very good lol.

I could see maybe a lil more trap speed out of it, i think you should be closer to 95mph in the 1/8. You may have been spinning off the line, or in the upper RPM's. Do you know what kind of power your car is making?

not bad I'd guess, but what was the 60 foot time? That will tell us what is left in the combo.

The car makes 425-440 rwhp depending on which tune we have loaded in the car. On the 7.82 pass it was the 425hp tune and the 60' was 1.87. The trap speed was actually closer to 93, looked at the wrong slip.

not a bad 60 foot on regular rubber. There's a few tenths left if you can hit it harder out of the hole, maybe some 7.50s.

I would be very happy if it went high 11's.

i think its got it. 7.8 is normally around a twelve flat. and with your top end power it could probably pull high 11. should be 12 flat no doubt.
